MORE ABOUT JUDGE DOMINIQUE TORRES WILLIAMS

Judge Dominique Torres Williams was first elected in 2022, and is seeking a second term in 2026. She presides over Dallas County Criminal Court 4.


Judge Torres Williams grew up in the Pleasant Grove area of Southeast Dallas, raised by a single mother. She is a graduate of Skyline High School and started on her path toward higher education at Eastfield Community College. Judge Torres Williams later transferred to the University of North Texas at Denton where she earned a Bachelors degree in Political Science.


Judge Torres William's heritage and upbringing give her a unique perspective on the needs of our diverse community. At an early age, she was inspired to pursue her interests in law, government and justice. After college, Judge Torres Williams earned her law degree at Texas A&M School of Law. She then started her own firm, The Torres Law Office, P.C., and represented hundreds of clients in their fight for justice.


Judge Torres Williams' involvement in the community extends outside of the courtroom. She served as a community advocate working on several nonprofit boards. She served five years on the DART Board of Directors as a City of Dallas appointee.


Judge Torres Williams has earned a strong reputation for fairness, hard work, and efficiency. Judge Torres Williams lives in Dallas with her husband, Shawn Williams, and their two children.
